New OCC Forums Are Live

The new OCC Forums are now live. There may still be some bugs that haven’t been worked out yet, if you come across anything feel free to post them here. In addition, not all forum features have been restored. Please be patient as Matt continues to work on the forums.

OCC Forums Offline

LinuXProX has taken the OCC Forums off line in preparation for the IBF2.x update. He’s worked hard and long on getting the forums, hacks, modifications, and other OCC related features ready for 2.0.

If all goes well, we should have the new forums up and running sometime tonight or tomorrow early AM. Let’s hope it’s soon!

Meanwhile, you can join all your OCC friends in the OCC IRC Channel (Chat Room). If you already have an IRC Client, you can get to the OCC Channel @ chat.overclockersclub.com #OverclockersClub.com or if you’d rather use the lame web-based, java powered, chat interface you can do that here.

Nice quote

I was looking arround at some of the blogs from other OCC members, and noticed a quote posted on DeMoN’s blog.

“The day Microsoft makes a product that doesn’t suck is the day they make a vacuum cleaner.”

MSN Spaces = The Suq

Well, I was looking around at various blogging services so I could provide OCC Members with a few different choices and came across MSN Spaces. Though the service is still beta, I thought the service was pretty bad.

Requires a MSN Passport and Windows Media Player (for music list). If you go to customize your blog, you get a message that says “Note: With the latest version of Internet Explorer you can take advantage of richer customization options.“. Ha! Like I’m going to switch back to IE, to customize my blog. If they built their service using Internet standards instead of “Microsoft Code” it wouldn’t make a bit of difference what browser was used, now would it?

Anyway, if you want to see an example of the MSN service, you can find my test blog here.
