Ding! Level 26

As the popular saying in MMORPG games goes, “Ding!”. After turning in a few high level quest my primary character, Hyglak, has leveled up from 25 to 26. This also marks the first time that my main is a higher level that my wife’s character. :P Though, I’m sure that will change as she’s still playing right now. :p

What amazes me though, is that there are already people who have hit the max level (that would be level 60) in World of Warcraft. I know I play a lot, but damn, these people must have done nothing must play WoW 24/7 since the game came out.

What’s next for these people? I don’t think they’ve done many of the quest. I’m sure they haven’t done much PvP. Heck; they probably don’t even have a lot of the map unlocked. Do they go back and catch up on their missed childhood now? Create a new character and level again? Sell it on ebay?

Speaking as someone who did a hell of a lot of power gaming back when DAoC came out, it’s not fun. I can remember camping the high level spots for hours and hours just to get the higher experience so I could level faster. Then it happens, you hit the max level and there is not much more to do. For me, it really destroyed DAoC, and I sold my account on EBay. That’s just not something I want to do in this game.

Oh well, congrats to all the high level WoW players. I’ll be there in a few more months.
