Picked up LotR: Battle for Middle-Earth today as a gift from a friend. Played a few skirmish missions to give it a try, and it’s not bad. They’ve changed a lot to the interface from what C&C had. Reminds me a bit of WarCraft III.
Not sure if I like the “hero’s” and “powers” stuff that they keep adding to the game, I still like the simplicity of Red Alert (the 1st one… 2nd one sucked) and StarCraft. Probably wont be seeing anything like that again.
I’m sure I’ll get use to the new stuff in time.
