Well, we got back from Arkansas a while ago, and before I say anything else, I wanted to say my mother was right. Most of the roads were completely covered with ice and it was pretty bad. Actually, this was the wost I remember ever seeing the roads. Actually slid off of the interstate once before Nashville. :/
Anyway, Christmas with the family was rather nice. Traditionally my cousin, brother, grandfather, and myself go out and cut down a Christmas tree, and this year was no exception. However, because of the conditions, we ended up cutting one down from the neighbors yard…. a tree that was only about 4 1/2 feet tall, rather than the usual 6+ foot tall tree.
The gifts were good as well. Farrah and I got some much needed silverware as well as some new pots and pans. I’m pretty sure we’ve got some new plats and stuff over at my mother’s house, so it looks like the plastic stuff gets to go buh-bye. It’ll be nice eating off of some real plates with real forks and stuff, and the best part about it is the stuff belongs to us! Farrah also got some toe-socks, but I’ll let her talk about that on her blog.
