Ding! 55

Sunday, February 27th, 2005

Well reached level 55 with my Human Warrior. Only 5 more levels till I hit the limit. Hopefully I can do that before the battlegrounds come out. We’ll see. ;) I’d probably already be level 60 if I hadn’t stopped playing WoW for two weeks while I played KotOR2. :p

More Work On The Truck

Saturday, February 26th, 2005

Well, the Explorer is running again. :)

Friday on my way to work, I noticed that the temp sensor was all the way on hot (or high). Friend of mine said it was probably the thermostat, so I decided I’d replace it. I haven’t really done any maintenance on my 1999 Ford Explorer Sport anyway. And since the last two times I went to Free Service Tire & Auto Center I ended up spending over $300.00 each trip. First was for the 30K service (which I could have done 85% of that) and the next was for the brakes (which I’d rather not do, even if I could).

Anyway, ended up replacing the thermostat with no problem, and also replaced the hood struts which Free Service broke last time I was there. Spent $75 total on parts, which I’m sure would have cost $150 at that other place.

What The Frak?

Saturday, February 26th, 2005

What the frak is up with some people? Is it that frakking hard to follow the rules set forth by a site? If you visit a site, you should follow the rules of that site. To me, that is an extremely easy concept to grasp. Why is it so hard for others?

You don’t have to like them, agree with, or even understand why but you have to follow. If you don’t then expect to have action taken. Most likely the rules were put there to stop or prevent an unwanted behavior or action, and chances are it’s for the good of the site.

World of Warcraft Under Development Information

Friday, February 25th, 2005

The World of Warcraft Under Development page has been updated with information that will be added to the next patch. Oddly enough, some of the features look like things that are found in the popular CosmosUI mod.

Also on the page is information on items that are in development and on the horizon. I really can’t wait for the Battlegrounds (Preview I, Preview II) and the Honor System.

XFire Protocol & Opera Browser

Friday, February 25th, 2005

I put together a quick guide at OverclockersClub.com on how to get the XFire Protocol (xfire:) working with the Opera Web Browser.

It isn’t a complicated process, but since I’ve seen questions about it on the net, I thought I’d try and help out. XFire and Opera are both excellent (and free) programs. If you’re not using them, you should be! :p

Opera 8.0 Beta 2 (Build 7483)

Friday, February 25th, 2005

It’s about time that we got a new beta version! Anyway, I noticed this morning on the Opera IRC Network that people were saying Opera 8.0B2 was available on Opera FTP Server. Sure enough it was, but at that time it still wasn’t officially released.

Around noon or so, the it was officially made available and we received our usual announcement about Opera 8.0 Beta 2 and a change log. Lots of nice stuff going on in Beta 2.

Battlestar Galactica Season 2 Coming This Summer

Friday, February 25th, 2005

We knew that Battlestar Galactica would be back for a season two, and according to SciFi Wire Season 2 is going to start this summer. What is really amazing is that it will be 20 episodes. Considering most shows run 8-12 episodes, this is great! :p

Another impressive note is that BSG averages 3 Million viewers an episode. Nice job.
