As I posted this morning on OverclockersClub.com, Google is now an official ICANN registrar. Yup, they now can officially sell the following TLDs: .biz, .com, .info, .name, .net, .org, and .pro.
No word on when (or even if) they will start selling TLDs. The Register is also covering the story, and has a quote that says Google “wants to get a better understanding of the domain name system [and so] increase the quality of our search results”.
