Google & AOL Show Off New Searches

News from the search world today as both Google and America Online show off some new search tools.

The first is Google Movie Search, which as you might guess will display movie listings. This also ties back to the Google Maps and Google Local searches. Considering it just came out today, it’s not that bad. Though it doesn’t really stand up to Yahoo Movies or Fandango.

As I said earlier, AOL also has a new search out. It’s their own version of the local search, and to be quite honest, I like it much better than what Google currently has. Maybe this will get the suits as Google, Inc. working on their stuff a bit more now. :p

Four Five New World of Warcraft Servers Online

Updated – Blizzard has just added four five new U.S. servers (realms) to the highly popular World of Warcraft MMORPG. These new servers give new players the opportunity to begin their adventures in Azeroth on untouched realms. They also give existing players who are looking to move from high-population realms the ability to create new characters on fresh, low-population realms. The new relms are:

  • Eldre’Thalas – PvE
  • Spirestone – PvP
  • Shadow Council – RP
  • Scarlet Crusade – RP
  • Firetree – PVP

BSG Season Two and Q & A @ BSG Blog

The Battlestar Galactica Blog (by Ron Moore) has a nice Q & A session up talking about some of the stuff to come in season two. It’s a nice read if you like BSG and have some time. :)

The Q & A was actually posted on 02/19/2005, but as I said the other day I’ve been a bit preoccupied. :p

Speaking of BSG, has anyone read the series written by Richard Hatch? Yeah, the guy that played Apollo in the 1978 and 1980 series NOT the guy from that stupid Survivor show. Looks like there are about seven books according to Amazon.

  • Destiny
  • Paradis
  • Discovery
  • Resurrection
  • Rebellion
  • Warhawk
  • Armageddon

Let me know if you’ve read any of them and what you think. :)

Constantine

Well, we went and saw Constantine this evening. It wasn’t a bad movie, but wasn’t the greatest either. ;) I guess it’s safe to say that it’s one of those movies that are worth seeing at least once… but if you don’t get the chance, don’t worry about it.

Though, doesn’t Keanu Reeves get tired of playing the same role over and over again? The lone warrior, out to save the world from all that is bad. Let’s see here, how many movies has he done this in? The Matrix Trilogy, Constantine, Johnny Mnemonic, any others? I don’t guess Bill & Ted count since he was part of a “team” in that one… oh well… time for bed. :p
