I started playing around with JavaScript today for the sole purpose of creating some OCC related UserJS files for Opera. Since I’m new to JavaScript, what better way to learn than by example.
I found a “No Middle Man” script which basically removes all URL redirect, including the one used by OverclockersClub.com. Well, I didn’t see a reason to remove all, though I suppose some people would, so I took the script, modified it to work with only OCC, and posted it back on the web.
The whole purpose of the script is to remove the “http://www.overclockersclub.com/link/?” from the beginning of all URLs.
Since the “http://www.overclockersclub.com/link/?” was added to external URLs, I’ve seen a few complaints about it. I’ve seen both sides of the fence, the reason LinuXProX added the redirect and I’ve also seen the problems caused by it. So, I created a fix.
You can download OCCNoRedirect here.
