XFire 1.40 Released

An update to XFire was released today. Simply log into XFire to automatically download and install the update. Improvements have been made to the group chat, and as always there are several fixes and several new games supported, more information is available in the read me.

New Version Of Google Toolbar

There is a new (minor) version of the Google Toolbar for IE, though I cannot exactly say when it was released.

According to the version history for the toolbar, the last version released as 3.0.119.9, which is what I had installed. However, after installing the toolbar on another computer, the version reads 3.0.123.2.

While no information is available yet on what’s has changed between 3.0.119.9 and 3.0.123.2, I’d say based off of the information about previous version, this only contains “Miscellaneous fixes and improvements”.

The Contender

When I first heard about the new contest being created by Mark Burnett, the guy behind Survivor and The Apprentice, I thought that The Contender was going to suck.

I didn’t watch the first episode of it, but heard a lot of good things about it on the radio the next day. Intrigued, I decided to watch the second fight. That’s all it took, and I was hooked. This show kicked ass.

Last night was the season finally, live from Las Vegas, NV. The two televised fights were great. Though my pick didn’t make it to the final match, or even win his bout that night, it was still very enjoyable.

Congratulations to Sergio for becoming the first contender.

Now word yet if we’ll get a Contender 2, I’m hoping there is one. :)
