Well, last night was my first real experience with the Battlegrounds in World of Warcraft. At least with the Alterac Vally Battleground. I still haven’t made it to Warsong Gulch. :p
I’m not real sure how many hours spent helping the Dwarves in Alterac Valley. I was so immersed in the battles I lost total track of time, and I think the same thing happened to the wife. :p
I managed to complete a couple of the “little” quest. Assault a graveyard, gather supplies, empty stables, and even kill horde. Though I didn’t get to kill the big guy (I forget his name at the moment) for the quest that gives a kick ass spear.
By the time I finally got away from the battleground I had over 600 kills with Hyglak and had an “honor bonus” of 3. Not real sure what the “honor bonus” does, but it sounds nice. :p Out of the 600-something kills, I think the system only had me recorded as having 25 killing blows. That number is really pointless though, as you can do 99.9% of the damage to someone, and not end up with the final blow.
In all, it was a lot of fun, and I’m sure I’ll spend more time there in the future. – Just not tonight. :p
I cannot wait till my Rogue, Mage, and Hunter are high enough to take in there. A warrior may be fun, but those classes are even more fun.
