Blizzard’s announcement that they would be brining up a “RP PvP” server has made a lot of people happy, while at the same time pissing off a lot of people.
The server, which Blizzard has said would hopefully be available around the time the next content patch is made available, has been requested by many WoW players since before the game was released. At that time, players were flat out told that it wasn’t going to happen.
At the time the game launched, the WoW Roleplayers Association selected Bleeding Hollow to be the unofficial RP PvP server, and that is where I ended up playing countless hours developing my characters.
While the addition of a RP PvP server is exciting, I am pissed off that we were told this would not happen. I worked hard to develop characters that I enjoy, that now will most likely fade away. On the other hand, having a formal RP community and starting over again is also kind of exciting. I’m slowly letting the excitement build, by not playing much until the new server is out.
