Well, I had planned to write something on Friday… then planned on doing it over the weekend. Obviously, none of that happened. ;) But hey, better late than never, right? :p

Stargate: SG1 - It didn’t really set a time table, but gave the impression that the first episode of the season was set several months after the last one ended. We have a new team this time around as Richard Dean Anderson and Amanda Tapping have left the show to spend time with their family. The new cast worked well, and it should be interesting to see what happens. I’m wondering if this season will be entirely made up around the plot that started Friday night, or if that is just going to be a two or three episode plot and then on to something else.

Stargate: Atlantis - Unfortunately this show picked up right where the last one left off. I really have a hard time getting into it, and mainly just watch it as filler before BSG. I think this show needs a lot of help. But, as long as it is stuck between two good shows, it’ll continue to get ratings.

Battlestar Galactica - I’ve been waiting and waiting for season two to kick off. It was almost like a birthday present from the SciFi Channel. The show starts off moments after where season one left off. Panic, disorder, and Cyclons. Things are going to get real interesting, especially since a Cyclon boarding party crashed on Galactica. You know where the next episode is going.

Firefly - Coming this Friday to SciFi is one more reason to watch TV. I’m not sure if this is a new series or a remake of the old one. Firefly is another space action series set way off in the future. We’ll see how this goes. Also, the movie Serenity which comes out in a few months is based on Firefly. Kind of odd that they are doing a series near the same time that the move will be coming out. WTF?

You can bet money that come this Friday, my ass will be in front of the TV watching SciFi. :) Also, coming to SciFi on the 27th is the return of “Tripping The Rift”. It’s a hilarious adult cartoon that pretty well makes fun of every space movie or TV show that has ever existed (mainly Star Trek and Star Wars). I don’t know if I’d call it “South Park In Space” like the commercial is doing, but it is pretty fraking funny.
