Sony has announced that the PlayStation Portable (which kicks ass) will be getting an update soon that will add a web browser as well as the ability to download video in the MPEG4 AVC format.
Apparently Sony will also be launching a portal site for the PSP called SoNet. Users will be able to download TV Shows, Movies, and more from the new services which is expected to come out about the time of the updated PSP firmware.
Sony has also stated that a white version of the PSP will be available soon. I wonder if they’ll be following the Nintendo path and releasing the PSP in a number of colors. I can just hear the wife now asking for a Pink PSP.
