Well, it’s been one month since the plant started the 4-10 shifts. I thought I’d get use to it, but so far after one month I’m still not liking it.
Personally, I feel less productive. Sure, I may be doing more work per day because of the extra two hours, but it isn’t the same amount of work I’d be getting done on a Friday.
Only two more months to go, and then we’ll see if this 4-10 shift is going to work, or fail miserably. From what I’ve been hearing, I’d say the chance of it being a total failure are pretty good, despite the positive spin every one in management tries to use.
At least tomorrow is the last day of the week, and brings on a four day holiday for me.
