Opera Software has revealed the new version of their community site. The new community site has all the stuff of the old site, plus some new extras. Registered members (free signup) now have:
- Personal Blog a new and improved blog system for members, which replaces the old Opera Journals.
- Opera Groups – A place where you can meet other people with similar interests
- Photo Albums – Share your photos with friends and family. Supports images as large as 1600×1200.
- Opera Support & Discussion Forums – This really isn’t new, as the Opera forums have been around for sometime, however in the process of building their new community site, they’ve also upgraded their forums. No longer using vBulliten, the Opera forums are now running their own custom designed software.
The site is running incredibly slow right now. Probably the many, many Opera fans eager to see what all the new changes. Hey, we crashed the site during their birthday party, why not crash it again when they release a major change to the site?
