As you may or may not know, I’ve been planning on creating my own “tech related” community for some time now. One of the things that is important to me, is giving the users access (where available) to the features and option that they want. It’s a hard thing to do, and I know that you cannot please everyone, but I can try my darndest to accommodate as much as I can.
It’s hard to know what the users want when you don’t have users yet. So, I’ve been polling the member base at OCC and on the Opera forums for ideas. I’ll probably expand my research elsewhere as things progress. 
Here are two of the questions I’m asking feedback on.
- What web-based news (Feed / Atom / RSS / etc.) readers do you use?(i.e. NewsGator, My Yahoo, Google Reader, Bloglines, etc.)
- Where do you search most often? (i.e. Google, Yahoo, Amazon, eBay, Pricewatch, Answers.com, etc)
With that said, things are moving along slowly. I had hoped to have it up and running by the end of this month, but with the way things are progressing, that just isn’t going to happen.
