Add To Google Button

Google has now has their very own “Add To Google” button. This allows users to add a site’s feed(s) to the Google Reader or Google’s Customized Home Page.

The code is as simple as this:

<a href=”http://fusion.google.com/add?feedurl=[SITE FEED]“><img src=”http://buttons.googlesyndication.com/fusion/add.gif” width=”104″ height=”17″ border=”0″ alt=”Add to Google”></a>

But if you need help or just want more information, you’ll find that here.

You can see the button in action on the right side of my site. :)

Mozilla Firefox 1.5 Released

Well, I guess the big news story of the day yesterday was the final release of Mozilla Firefox 1.5. Here are some of the changes:

  • Automated update
  • Faster browser navigation
  • Drag and drop reordering for browser tabs
  • Answers.com is added to the search engine list
  • Report a broken Web site wizard

Oddly enough, this is some of the same things that have been available in the Opera Web Browser. Ok… I’ll keep my personal thoughts to myself. ;)

Firefox really is a good alternative to Microsoft’s highly flawed Internet Explorer, and Firefox has come a long way over the years. I know a lot of people that love it as much as I love Opera.

You can download Firefox at the new Mozilla.com. That’s right, it’s no longer available at Mozilla.org. Or, you can download Firefox plus the Google Toolbar directly from Google.

Widgets Coming To Opera 9?

Was reading through the news this morning and came across the latest story on Opera Watch where Daniel was commenting on this PCWorld article.

According to the PCWorld article Opera 9.0 will support widgets. If this is true, we haven’t seen it in the latest technical preview (pre-beta version). Anyway, here is a snip from the PCWorld article:

Although we were unable to test these features, the company says the final version will include support for widgets, small external programs that use Opera’s engine and can run on the desktop.

Now, I don’t know if this is true or not, but it could be very cool if implemented correctly. It does make some since for Opera to do something like this. After all, Opera is more than just a browser it is an internet suite, and since most widgets (but not all) retrieve data and information from the internet, well you get the point.

Unfortunately Daniel from Opera Watch wasn’t able to get much information from Opera Software.

World of Warcraft 1.9 Patch Live On Test Servers

Blizzard has pushed the 1.9 patch to the WoW test realms. If all goes well, we’ll probably see 1.9 go live in a few weeks. So, what’s included? Well, we already knew that there would be changes to some of the armor, the addition of Ahn’Qiraj in southern Silithus, and linked auction houses. But there is a lot more, as detailed in the patch notes.

Here are some of the things we’ll see:

  • Soul Shard Bags
  • Massive changes to the Paladins’ talent points
  • Changes to the guild, raid, and main WoW UI
  • New items and recipes
  • Bug fixes
  • And more

It’s a big list with some welcomed changes.
