Granted, I haven’t played WoW much in the past several months, but what I’ve seen from the WoW servers here recently are reminiscent of the early days of WoW.
Last night was pretty bad. I managed to get into an Arathi Basin battleground after it had started. However, the invite request from me and one other person went unanswered. No one would say anything in general, local, or even say/yell. We didn’t know what was going on.
Well, close to the end of the BG I died, and was stuck as a corpse. No res option, no ghost, nada. That’s when I first started to think the server was FUBAR. A few minutes went by, and the battleground ended, however according to the scores we still had a way to go. Try to leave the BG (I’m still dead) and nothing happens.
Well, people are saying in guild chat and the PvPRP.com channel that the server is having global issues. Finally the server dies, and everyone is disconnected. 5-10 minutes later, I log back in to find myself falling through the Barrens and dying yet again. No way I can resurrect as my corpse is 10 miles below a mountain near Ratchet. Oh well.
Try and log in today, and it’s taking forever to make it through the connecting, handshaking, and whatever else is does. Figured I’d hit the WoW website, and even it is taking forever to load up. When it finally comes up, I get the “low bandwidth” version. What’s up? Blizzard forget to pay the hosting company?
