Blizzard slipped in a new World of Warcraft patch today brining the game up to 1.8.3. Looks like the only real thing added was Blizzard’s new “Blizzard Launcher“. According to the FAQ, the Blizzard Launcher is designed to:
- Distribute news to those who may not visit the World of Warcraft website regularly
- Keep the public up to date on issues that may affect their gameplay
- Protect the user from viruses and other malicious programs that may attempt to steal their account name and password
- Uphold the Terms of Use by warning players who have cheat programs installed on the computers on which they’re playing World of Warcraft that the cheat programs are there
