April Fool's Day

I hope everyone had a great weekend, including April Fool’s Day. There weren’t any jokes played around our house, however the net was full of sites pulling pranks. Wikipedia has a list of the 2006 April Fool’s Day jokes and pranks.

Popular geek, and news site Slashdot went girlie for the day with it’s pink makeover and “OMG!!! Ponies” title. Oddly enough, the nUbuntu Linux Distro did a similar thing.

The Google Operating System Blog released information about the new Google Web Browser. The text based browser shown reminded me a lot of lynx. :p

Google, who has always fond of April 1st jokes, launched Google Romance and added visitors to Area 51 in Google Earth.
