XFire 1.56 Released
A new update to XFire was released yesterday. Just log into the client, and it will automatically update.
For information on what’s changed, see the release notes and the technical notes.
Google Notebook
The Google Notebook service is now live on Google Labs.
When you first try and use the service, you’ll be given the ability to download a IE plugin or a Firefox extension. This allows you to create notes about the page you are viewing, or highlight text on the page and copy it to a note. You can also create and edit notes right from www.google.com/notebook/.
More information is available in the Google Notebook Overview and the FAQ.
I wonder if we’ll ever see an Opera Widget for this.
Yahoo!'s New Portal
Internet Explorer and Firefox users can take a sneak peak at the redesigned Yahoo Homepage.
Not a bad design, but still more crap than I care to see. Also, the page doesn’t validate to HTML 4.01 Strict.
Opera 9.0 Builds
Opera rolled out two “weekly” builds last week. The first one came on Thursday with the next one a day later. Oli says they are working hard on Beta 2.
Info on the latest build is available here.
