World of Warcraft News

It’s been a big week for Blizzard and World of Warcraft. They’ve announced that a live action Warcraft movie is in the works, and is being produced by Legendary Studios. That is the same company that is behind Superman Returns and Batman Begins.

Blizzard has also announced the new alliance race that will be coming in the Burning Crusade expansion. They are the Draenei. The NYTimes also has an article about the upcoming expansion; You can read it here.

Site Updates

I’ve taken a few minutes to do some “spring cleaning” around d3bruts1d.com. I’ve combined many of the news categories that I had, which trimmed it down to about 7 total.

I’ll still be posting about things I find interesting (Google, Opera Browser, XFire, World of Warcraft, etc.), but I didn’t see the point in having 20 different categories. This is my personal site, and not really a tech news portal; that’s what I’m building TechRelated.com for.

I’ve also added a few new links to tech news sites I visit. I’ll be working more on the links section later today or tomorrow.

I’ve also done some other stuff that most of you probably won’t notice. ;) In the odd chance that something quit working, please let me know.

Rumors: Google Drive & Google Health

The ZDNet Blog, Googling Google, always had a good bit of information about Google and its products and services. Garett Rogers, the blog’s author, loves to dig into Google and speculate about what the secretive company might be working on next. Sometimes the guy is right, sometimes he isn’t…. this week, he’s found two possible new services that could be out any day.

The first is the highly rumored GDrive. This has been mentioned before, but Garett found that Google’s robots.txt had a new entry for Disallow: /uds/. Could this stand for Unlimited Data Storage?

The next rumor is that of Google Health. Garett refers to an USA Today Blog where the author states that Marissa Mayer, Google’s VP of search products and user experience, told USA Today “Health is an interesting one — keep your eye out for that next week.

Next Wednesday is Google’s Annual Press Day. It’ll be interesting to see what they plan to announce.
