Well, it would appear as though my membership at OverclockersClub.com has gone full circle. I was a member, a dedicated staff member, and now, I’ve basically become banned. Why? While no one will talk to me, I can only assume that it is directly related to my new endeavor, TechRelated.com. A site that in many ways could be direct competition for OCC.

When I stepped down from my staff position at OCC, I made it clear to a number of people that it was to start my own site. At the time, I even showed Bosco, BigRed, and a number of others the “alpha versions” of TR.

It is just something I cannot understand. I have no ill feelings toward OCC, in fact I still wanted to see OCC do well, despite my own site beginning to take off. Maybe it was a conflict of interest, but I had spent too much time and money on OCC just to walk away from it completely.

So, what do I get for my years of service and dedication? A new watch? A simple thank you? No.. none of that. Instead, they delete perfectly valid, and helpful messages that I posted for no other reason that they contained a link to TR. The block my email address (@techrelated.com) so that I cannot send or receive emails from OCC, including those needed to re-validate my account or to even submit news. They’ve even gone so far as to remove my avatar, personal homepage link, and my signature.

Tell me, would that make you feel wanted at a site?

I’ll still visit OCC from time to time, however I no longer have the ability to post messages and help people there.
