A couple big announcements related to AMD today… the first is that they’ve slashed prices on most of their processor line.
That’s cool, but the bigger announcement today is that they plan to buy chipset maker ATI. This finally puts all of the rumors to rest. I’ve not yet managed to convince myself that this merger is a good idea, but then what do I know. :p
