During WWII at the "Battle of the Bulge" a army general was surrounded by German troops.... the German commanded came on the radio and demanded that they surrender. The army general responded back with "nuts". This story was told during the last episode of Jericho, when one character ask to hear what he thought was the "peanut story". At the end of the episode, the town of Jericho is under attack by another town... the invaders tell Jericho to surrender, and they reply by saying "nuts". After Jericho was canceled by CBS, a huge number of fans started sending nuts of any kind, mainly peanuts, to CBS head office in NY and CA. Over 40,000 lbs of peanuts were sent thanks to the help of NutsOnline.com. Hehe… yes, that is in reference to the show.
