Why Does GMail On The iPhone Suck?

Ok, GMail on the iPhone doesn’t really suck… but for someone like me that is use to using GMail the “GMail Way” this POP stuff just doesn’t fly. I want things I read on my iPhone to be marked as read inside of GMail, I want access to my labels, and everything else that I use all to often in GMail. Hell, I’ll even take the ads if it’ll make GMail on the iPhone more like real GMail.

What would really be nice is if there was the ability to use the GMail Mobile App on the iPhone like I used on my Moto Razr. For those of you that don’t know what I’m talking about, it’s basically a GMail Mini.

You’d think with as together as Google and Apple are that you’d have a decent GMail app for the iPhone. Heck, you’d probably expect to see Google Reader, Google Calendar, Google Finance, and several other Google apps available for the iPhone. Why aren’t they available?

Sure, you can use Safari on the iPhone and navigate to gmail.com and check your mail inside of the “real GMail”. But then that defeats the purpose of having the Mail notification sitting on your phone. And even then, it still gets difficult to navigate.

Florida Destroys The Vols

Chomp chomp!

The Florida Gators defended the swamp this afternoon and handed out an ass whooping to the UT Vols. I thought scores like this only happened in video games, but no this is real….

Florida 59 – Tennessee 20

Gator QB Tebow played a hell of a game. Almost 300 yards passing, and rushed for two TDs. He’s a machine.

Highlander: The Source

Tonight at 9:00 pm (just an hour-ish) away is the world premier of the next Highlander movie. Sadly, this one is a SciFi Original movie, which I’m hoping I won’t have to suffer through. Though from what I’ve already herd about this movie, I don’t have high hopes for it… word is, this movie has absolutely no flashbacks in it. What the heck is up with that? Highlander with no flashbacks? Don’t like the sound of that.

We may be on the verge of a movie that sucks more than Highlander II. We’ll find out in about an hour.
