There’s a new build available for the Astra testers. This build adds “message bubbles” which look an awful lot like SMS conversations on the iPhone. It’s nice, simple, and my personal favorite minimalistic. The new view is currently only available when using the Cordonata skin, so that may be a problem for some. Another issue users may have is the time stamp is missing (gah!), though the devs promise to add it back very soon.

Is Journeyman’s Trip Over?
Friday, November 30th, 2007Thanks to low ratings and the current WGA strike, we may be at the end of Journeyman. Personally, I’ve enjoyed the show all season long, though I think it’s gotten much better here in the last few weeks. According to SciFi Wire, NBC may end the show at episode 12, which was the last episode produced. For those of you keeping track, that means we have two episodes left.
According to the report, the episode will answer a number of questions, so that it can provide a feeling of closure. However, the episode will leave just enough unanswered in the unlikely case that the rest of the season is picked up.
Chuck Gets Full Season Order
Friday, November 30th, 2007I love this show, and I’m glad to see that NBC actually decided to pick it up for a full season. That’s right, provided the writer’s strike ends, we’ll get to see the final nine episodes of Chuck season one. And with any luck, we might even see a season two.
For you Browncoats out there, Chuck also stars Adam Baldwin.
Piper Returns To Dr. Who
Friday, November 30th, 2007Billie Piper who played Rose on the first two seasons of Dr. Who has returned to the set for three episodes in the fourth season. Based on the report, The Dr. will have three companions Rose, Martha [Freema Agyeman], and Donna [Catherine Tate] who played “The Runaway Bride” in last years Christmas special.
Three companions, all of them female. This should be an emotional, action packed season. lol
SciFi Tech Blog Becomes DVICE
Friday, November 30th, 2007The SciFi Channel’s Technology and Gadget Blog has been reborn. The site is now known as DVICE, and it looks like they are already posting even more that they had been. Personally I think DVICE rates up there with Engadget.
I wonder if this means we’ll see a similar make over for SciFi’s Entertainment News Blog, SciFi Wire.
Google Maps: Terrain View
Thursday, November 29th, 2007Google Maps has been updated with a cool new feature, Terrain View. For those of you who are like me and usually use the “Hybrid Mode” never fear, though the button is gone the feature is still available. Now when you click on “Satellite” you’ll get an option box that says “show labels”.

I’m Back
Sunday, November 25th, 2007Well, I’m home. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving weekend. Mine was pretty good, except for Saturday night. Let’s just say that eating way to much, a migraine, and over heating is not a very good combination. Thankfully I was at my mother’s house, so she got to clean things up. Thanks mom!
Happy Thanksgiving
Thursday, November 22nd, 2007Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving. I’ll be having mine twice, once this evening with my in-laws and one tomorrow in Nashville with my mother and step-dad.
Be careful, have fun, stay safe, and don’t eat to much.
