Trillian Astra Build 64 Released
Trillian Astra build 64 has been released. This build is primarily a bug fix, however there were also a couple of changes to some of the widgets. In addition they have also re-enabled proxy support.
Trillian Astra Build 63 Released
A new build for Trillian Astra was released last week. Build 63 fixes a number of issues with Jabber and Google Talk, and with this build all network plugins have been upgraded to the new IMcore system. There is also suppose to be a nice upgrade to the mail integration. GMail + IMAP? Hmmm…
This week’s build is set to include some UI enhancements, the build after that will begin work on audio/video integration. The good news is, Trillian Astra Beta shouldn’t be to far off. From the sound of the Trillian Dev Bog, I wouldn’t be surprised if beta came out around the new year.
Thumbs Down: GMail 2.0
It’s been a few weeks since Google upgraded my account to GMail 2.0. At first I didn’t notice anything, but now I only have one thing to say to Google, I want my GMail back. While it’s suppose to be faster, it’s been my experience that overall it is much slower. Pages take longer to load, and several times I’ve even had a page “finish” with no messages displayed.
It’s not just me either, there are a ton of others having issues of their own. Good, bad, ugly? What is your experience with GMail 2.0? Though I will admit, I do like GMail’s new ability to bookmark searches, labels, and messages.
