At 12:00 am PST this morning, Pownce left private beta. No more invites needed! There are several new features to go with the “Pownce Launch”, though I’m not sure exactly what. I had expected Leigh or someone to update the Pownce Blog, but that’s not been done yet. Slackers!

NBC And Apple To Patch Things Up
Last month NBC pulled their library of shows from iTunes, and had some not-so-nice things to say about Apple. Why? Basically NBC got greedy, and wanted to jack the price up for NBC content that was offered over iTunes. Now, it looks like NBC is singing a different song.
Didn’t Know This Bit About The iPhone
I decided to hit up the Apple Store here in Knoxville to see what kind of accessories they might have for the iPhone. What I really wanted was something that would allow me to charge my iPhone in my vehicle, and allow me to listen to the music (in stereo), and when needed have a hands free option. Matter of fact, I learned something new about my iPhone today. If you connect it to a AM/FM transmitter, or even to a speaker station, then the iPhone will automatically switch to “Airplane mode”. Did you know that? I didn’t until a rep at the store informed me of that. Kind of stupid if you ask me.
Trillian Astra Build 69 Released
Another week, another Trillian Astra build. Build 69… heh heh heh 69… is a basic bug fix build. Nothing new and exciting here.

I just got back from seeing a 1:00 pm screening of Cloverfield, which was produced by Lost creator J.J. Abrams. By the time it ends, Cloverfield leaves you with more unanswered questions than a whole season of Lost. The movie, which runs for just under an hour and a half (feels more like an hour) was filmed entirely on a hand held camera. In fact, if you get motion sick easily, do not go see this movie. I’m surprised they didn’t have a warning at the ticket stand.
Since my little review here contains a few spoilers about the movie, I’ll continue after the jump. Continue reading
