Another update for Trillian Astra was released earlier today. Build 76 addresses some (apparently major) issues that users were experiencing with the previous build. Auto-update should work this time around.

Trillian Astra Build 76 Released
Monday, March 31st, 2008Trillian Astra Build 75 Released
Sunday, March 30th, 2008Early Saturday morning the Trillian dev team released Trillian Astra Build 75 to testers. This is a pretty major upgrade requiring that the client and Astra servers be update simultaneously. Also, you will need to manually download the update.
So far this build feels really stable and polished. I like.
WordPress 2.5 Released
Sunday, March 30th, 2008After a long wait, WordPress 2.5 has finally been released. The update has a lot, for me the key points are improved tag management, a built in image gallery, database optimizations, improved admin interface, and overall improved performance.
Now, I’ll just have to work on updating my theme. /sigh
CBS Cancels Jericho (Again)
Friday, March 21st, 2008Aww nuts (saw that one coming, eh?). According to SciFi Wire, CBS has once again canceled Jericho. According to the post, Tuesday’s episode won’t entirely close the door for Jericho, but it also won’t be a real cliffhanger. It’s still possible that the show could get picked up by a cable network (SciFi please????).
Jericho Season 3?
Wednesday, March 19th, 2008I just finished watching Jericho (S2E6). Thanks to the awful time slot, I have to watch Jericho on TiVo the next day. I’d love to watch during the airing, but you try staying up late and then getting up for work by 4 am. Anyway, I may be reading too much into this, but at the end of the episode it stated next week was the “season finale”. Season, not series. With one episode left, they should have already made up their mind if they were going to keep the show around or not.
I’m hoping they keep it around for another season or two. Yes, that’s optimistic, but I like the characters and I think they could do enough for two more full seasons.
Perhaps the lack of any official word is so they can surprise us during the episode and say “You love the show, you fought for the show, and Jericho will return in the fall for a full season.” Or maybe they’ll pull a season one stunt again, and just end it without telling anyone. Ok… I’ll try not to get my hope up too much between now and Tuesday. :p

Lost Boys: The Tribe Trailer
Tuesday, March 18th, 2008In case you haven’t heard, they’ve been working on a sequel to Lost Boys. Yes, nothing is sacred and every movie in existence these days seem bound to have a sequel.
Well, MTV has posted a trailer for The Lost Boys: The Tribe, and I must say it looks pretty cool. I’ll hold final judgment until I actually see the movie. The big question I have isn’t “why”, but rather is it just me or does Corey look like he did in the 80’s?
Xfire 1.89 Released
Tuesday, March 18th, 2008Yesterday Xfire 1.89 was released. Nothing really special about this update, except they have increased the storage space you have for uploaded images. The previous limit was 15MB, now users have 150MB of space.

Undocumented changes are sure to be talked about soon on blogs everywhere… who knows, you might even get surprised by the new undocumented “features”.
WordPress 2.5 RC1 Available & Sneak Peek
Tuesday, March 18th, 2008I’ve seen a lot of complaints about WordPress 2.5. Mainly people feel that the features coming in 2.5 don’t make up for skipping the 2.4 release earlier in the year. Personally, I’m eagerly awaiting 2.5. Why? This sneak peek sums it all up…
A customizable dashboard, multi-file upload, built-in galleries, one-click plugin upgrades, tag management, built-in Gravatars, full text feeds, and faster load times sound interesting? Then WordPress 2.5 might be the release for you.
There isn’t much I don’t like about WordPress, however I’ve found it annoying that there isn’t a “real” gallery for it. Sure, I could use some kind of flickr tie in, but darn it, I want my pictures hosted on my own site, not somewhere else. That, and WordPress’s current tag management system leaves much to be desired. Those two things alone make me happy.
If you are interested in taking a look at WordPress 2.5, you can download RC1 here.
