So, here I sit in a hot truck at the local BestBuy. Not because I care about buying a cheap computer during Tennessee’s “tax free weekend”, but because I wanted to buy a couple of movies that Target didn’t have.
It’s 15 minutes before the store with overpriced electronics opens, and so far I’ve counted over 100 poor souls. Even as I type this on my iPhone the line continues to grow.
These people are living under the illusion that “tax free” is a good deal. Maybe it would be elsewhere. Someplace where the price wasn’t already high, and where they didn’t jack up the price to take advantage of the state sale. I’ll leave the fools to their grand illusion. I just want a few movies.
