A few days ago the next Lost ARG officially opened it’s doors to user registration. Those who had previously filled out a request for information should have recieved a message pointing them to DharmaWantsYou.com. Right now it is strictly a user registration. No telling when the “game” will officially start, or even what the game will be this time.
I had fun playing through the Find 815 ARG that ran leading up to last season. I really wish I had been around (and a fan of lost) when the 1st game, The Lost Experiance, started after season two. – I didn’t start watching lost until season three when the wife and I watched season one in an entire weekend, and then watched season two a few weekends later. Yes, it was like crack.
Be sure to check out DocArzt’s Lost Blog for hints, news, and other information concerning the Lost ARG.
Tomorrow is the season four premier of LOST on ABC. Everyone’s known this for a long time, and we’ve been waiting for it. Well, word on the street is that during the premier of Eli Stone (immediately after LOST) there will be an announcement from Oceanic Airlines. Perhaps the find815.com game isn’t going to end with the lost premier? Anyone want to speculate what exactly the announcement might be?
Also, tonight on Jimmy Kimmel Live! (meh) there are suppose to be some “never before seen LOST clips“. Let’s hope these lost LOST clips are better than the missing pieces that ABC’s been feeding us for the last few months.
Saw this over on DarkUFO’s site. Eduardo has created a Lost Map that contains all of the information and locations found on Lostpedia. Because of the wealth of information he provides, it is probably more useful than my “Find 815 Map“. The difference between his map and mine… mine only covers the main elements of the Find 815 ARG, while his covers everything LOST.
He’s got a great map, and it is well worth checking out. Though be prepared for an information overload!
There has been an update to FlyOceanicAir.com. I’m not sure if this is actually related to the game, or if this is more just for ABC so that they can cover their bases, but there is now a link for a privacy policy / terms of use (PDF). I’ve skimmed through it, and did not see any company name mentioned what-so-ever.
Is there a hidden clue? I’m sure people are already analyzing every line of the document.
I was reading through DarkUFO’s find815 section, and noticed something that looked very, very familiar. Searching for “Find815″ on Google Earth, a user found that billboard locations, and other related information was there. Sounds really, really cool at first.
Before you get your hopes up, this is not some unreleased part of the game or even an easter egg. Nope, this is the very same map that you can find right here. This is the “Find 815 Locations Map” that I created a few days ago. Though it looks like the Google Earth version may also include a merger or data from other LOST related maps.
Thanks to all the comments on DarkUFO’s blog saying how cool it is. Even if you didn’t know it was me, it still makes me happy to know people liked it.
Been watching TV, and realized it was past time for the new content to be released for the LOST “find 815″ game. Hit the bookmark, and the site I was brought to was most certainly not the lost815.com that I had expected. Nope, rather than the flash I should be seeing, I’m looking at “Apache’s HTTP Server Test Page”.
Did the server get hit a bit too hard? Looks like they may have had to reinstall the server software. Perhaps someone, or something just doesn’t want us to find 815. Hmmm…
Thanks to Dave of the Dave and Thomas blog for pointing out that the Knoxville Oceanic Air billboard has been vandalized. Doc Arzt’s LOST Blog and DarkUFO are both reporting that the billboard in Miami has also been hit, and possibly even the one in Portland. On the billboards, it appears that someone has spray painted “find815.com”. (more…)
The Miami billboard for Oceanic Airlines has been found. This means that there is only one outstanding billboard left, the one in Seoul, South Korea. Any South Korean LOST fans out there? We need your help!
Back to the Miami billboard. It reads, “Discover the mysteries of Berlin.” Berlin? Again, this is not a destination for Oceanic Airlines based on their press release. Why do we have two signs pointing to this location? Is it significant? I think so, and so do Doc and Cerberus with Doc Arzt’s LOST Blog. (more…)
Knoxville’s WATE TV6, and ABC Affiliate station, has a writeup about the Oceanic Air’s billboard here in Knoxville. Though, I’m not sure if the reporter really grasps what the billboard is for. Sure, it’s about LOST, and it’s trying to build up for the show’s new season which starts on Jan 31st. But there is more to it.
Most of us already know that if you go to the website provided by the billboard, you’ll get more than just some fake press release. You’ll be introduced to the new LOST ARG, Find 815. This game is more than building hype for the show. It is part of the story, and may very well lead up to telling us how the survivors of 815 get rescued.
Knoxville isn’t alone with the billboards, the Oceanic Air billboards have popped up in other cities mentioned in Oceanic Air’s press release. For more information on those towns, check out Doc Arzt’s LOST Blog and DarkUFO.
Of course, people like me think there may be an even deeper meaning to the signs. After all, it would be LOST if there wasn’t something hidden in the messages.
