DarkUFO Finds My “Find 815″ Map

I was reading through DarkUFO’s find815 section, and noticed something that looked very, very familiar. Searching for “Find815″ on Google Earth, a user found that billboard locations, and other related information was there. Sounds really, really cool at first.

Before you get your hopes up, this is not some unreleased part of the game or even an easter egg. Nope, this is the very same map that you can find right here. This is the “Find 815 Locations Map” that I created a few days ago. Though it looks like the Google Earth version may also include a merger or data from other LOST related maps.

Thanks to all the comments on DarkUFO’s blog saying how cool it is. Even if you didn’t know it was me, it still makes me happy to know people liked it. :D

Find 815 – Have You Seen It? It’s Missing!

find815anewserver.PNGBeen watching TV, and realized it was past time for the new content to be released for the LOST “find 815″ game. Hit the bookmark, and the site I was brought to was most certainly not the lost815.com that I had expected. Nope, rather than the flash I should be seeing, I’m looking at “Apache’s HTTP Server Test Page”.

Did the server get hit a bit too hard? Looks like they may have had to reinstall the server software. Perhaps someone, or something just doesn’t want us to find 815. Hmmm…

Knoxville’s Oceanic Air Billboard “Vandalized”

Thanks to Dave of the Dave and Thomas blog for pointing out that the Knoxville Oceanic Air billboard has been vandalized. Doc Arzt’s LOST Blog and DarkUFO are both reporting that the billboard in Miami has also been hit, and possibly even the one in Portland. On the billboards, it appears that someone has spray painted “find815.com”. Continue reading

Miami Find 815 Billboard Found

The Miami billboard for Oceanic Airlines has been found. This means that there is only one outstanding billboard left, the one in Seoul, South Korea. Any South Korean LOST fans out there? We need your help!

Back to the Miami billboard. It reads, “Discover the mysteries of Berlin.” Berlin? Again, this is not a destination for Oceanic Airlines based on their press release. Why do we have two signs pointing to this location? Is it significant? I think so, and so do Doc and Cerberus with Doc Arzt’s LOST Blog. Continue reading

Local News Covering The LOST Billboard

Knoxville’s WATE TV6, and ABC Affiliate station, has a writeup about the Oceanic Air’s billboard here in Knoxville. Though, I’m not sure if the reporter really grasps what the billboard is for. Sure, it’s about LOST, and it’s trying to build up for the show’s new season which starts on Jan 31st. But there is more to it.

Most of us already know that if you go to the website provided by the billboard, you’ll get more than just some fake press release. You’ll be introduced to the new LOST ARG, Find 815. This game is more than building hype for the show. It is part of the story, and may very well lead up to telling us how the survivors of 815 get rescued.

Knoxville isn’t alone with the billboards, the Oceanic Air billboards have popped up in other cities mentioned in Oceanic Air’s press release. For more information on those towns, check out Doc Arzt’s LOST Blog and DarkUFO.

Of course, people like me think there may be an even deeper meaning to the signs. After all, it would be LOST if there wasn’t something hidden in the messages.
