Lost – Are The Billboards Significant?

For those of you that don’t know, ABC has planted a number of billboards around the globe to promote the fictional airliner Oceanic Air. Each of these billboards have appeared in a location where the airline will have destinations. These locations are Los Angeles, CA, Tustin, CA, Ames, IA, Miami, FL, New York, NY, Portland, OR, Knoxville, TN, Seoul, South Korea, and Sydney, Australia.

With the exception of the Seoul and Miami billboards, they’ve all been found, and posted on popular Lost related blogs such as Doc Arzt’s LOST Blog and DarkUFO. Is there a hidden message or meaning to the signs? It wouldn’t be LOST without some kind of hidden something. But what is it? Continue reading

Help Find Oceanic Air Flight 815

LOST doesn’t return until January 31, 2008 but ABC has already started something that LOST fans will enjoy. A web game, called Find 815. It started with Oceanic Air announcing that it would be returning to the airways. During the video press release on flyoceanicair.com, viewers are interrupted by Sam Thomas a former IT worker for the airline. Sam’s message leads us to find815.com.

Once at Find815.com we learn a bit more about Sam. Since it is somewhat spoiler-ish, I’ll leave everything else about the story for you to find out.

According to Lostpedia, the game will end two hours before LOST Season 4 begins. If you need any help with the game, check out the new DarkArzt’s LOST Blog. No, he isn’t working/writing at TheTailSection.com any more.

Writers Guild of America Strikes

Not to be confused with the Film Actors Guild, the Writers Guild of America (WGA) has gone on strike. If you watch TV, this is bad for you, and you might even see the impact starting tonight. With the writers on strike, there won’t be anyone available to write new scripts; The direct impact of this is the live shows (such as The Late Show, The Late Late Show, etc.) which record every day.

Our favorite shows like Heroes, Chuck, LOST, and the others will be ok for a while. Most of these shows have several scripts written in advance. Though, if a show doesn’t have enough scripts to make it to the end of the season, or even a mid-season,  then you can see one of several things happen. 1) The show could just end; 2) The show could see “scab” writers brought in, and if this is the case stories, plots, and even the entire show could suffer.

TV Guide has a nice writeup on some of the major things that this could mean for some of our current favorites. One thing it mentions in another article is Heroes.  The Heroes crew has gone back and reshot the Dec. 3rd episode. This episode was meant to tie up the “Generations” story arc, however if the alternate ending is used, it will be able to serve as a season finale.

Sadly, the writers for “Reality TV” type shows aren’t apart of the WGA. This means that if the strike goes on too long, we’ll see a large influx of crap across every channel. Yes, I know you thought it couldn’t get any worse.

LOST News

Yesterday actor Daniel Dae Kim was arrested for driving under the influence. Daniel Dae Kim plays Jin-Soo Kwon on ABC’s LOST. The big question now is, what will happen with the character Jin-Soo Kwon now. Historically LOST actors that have had a run in with the law in real life usually get killed off the show. Does this mean Kwon will be taken by the island next?
