Yesterday a new Trillian Astra build was released. This time around it’s mainly just a piss load of bug fixes, though they did muck with the ICQ / AIM plugin. Now if you use either of these services, you’ll need to enable the OSCAR plugin.
Another pre-release build for Trillian Astra was released on Tuesday. Apparently they felt it was necessary to tell everyone that the emots are being renovated, “Hundreds have been completed and there are still hundreds to be added in the builds to follow!”
Aside from that, there were a number of entries in the changelog.
Trillian Astra Build 80 was released back on the 13th. The changelog claims to have over 100 entries, though most of what’s noted in the blog post relates to various Yahoo Messenger improvements. I just hope one of those 100 items means that it will no longer crash when I try to add a friend. That’s probably the most annoying thing ever. ![]()
Another update for Trillian Astra was released earlier today. Build 76 addresses some (apparently major) issues that users were experiencing with the previous build. Auto-update should work this time around.
Early Saturday morning the Trillian dev team released Trillian Astra Build 75 to testers. This is a pretty major upgrade requiring that the client and Astra servers be update simultaneously. Also, you will need to manually download the update.
So far this build feels really stable and polished. I like.
The Trillian team has released a new build. Build 71 is mainly a bugfix build, which looks to have fixed the Google Talk crash that a number of us were experiencing. There also reporting some work was done on the “add contact” panel as well as video calls. Looks like a pretty stable build so far.
Another week, another build. This week, build 70 brings over 100 bug fixes and also introduces MSN Voice Calls. As with the Yahoo voice calls that was added in build 68, you might experience some call lag.
I don’t know if anyone else experienced it or not, but that last build seamed like it had a heck of a memory leak in it.
Another week, another Trillian Astra build. Build 69… heh heh heh 69… is a basic bug fix build. Nothing new and exciting here.
We have a new Trillian Astra build this week, and thankfully this one will auto update. Build 68 features a full revamped to the [Yahoo] Voice Call system, and improved chat views. These features should be available in both the Cobalt and Cordonata skins. For more information on the changes, check out the developers blog.
If I had a guess, from the way things sound we may have one or two more “clean up” builds before they release the first beta.
A new build for Trillian Astra has been released to testers. According to the blog, this is mainly a bugfix build with some updates to the Cobalt skin. As with the previous build, you’ll have to manually download this update as the auto patch server is still undergoing maintenance.
