This weekend, Farrah and I will be celebrating our 13th Valentine’s Day. She told me last week that she didn’t want anything… Since when do I ever listen? ;) (more…)

Happy Birthday to my wonderful wife!

Monday, January 4th, 2010

Over the weekend (01/02/2010) my wife celebrated her birthday. I’m not allowed to say how old she is, but she’s 6 months older than me! :D Happy Birthday Farrah! I love ya.

I’m sure she’ll get around to updating her blog sometime this millennium to show off her presents.

Hiking Trip

Friday, June 19th, 2009

Thursday, June 11, 2009 Farrah and I celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary. To celibate, we decided to go hiking/camping up around Cades Cove.

We had fun, but things didn’t go quite as planned. That same weekend was the 75th anniversary of the Smoky Mountains National Park, and a big event was being held in the area. Despite having permits, and talked to the rangers, we were denied access to our route. :( So, a last minute change of plans, we found another campsite close by.

It was hot and humid, and good lord was I out of shape. But we made it three miles up the mountain to the campsite.. and that was about all I could do. Sad, I know. But we had fun. Me, the wife, and her friends. Hopefully there will be many more trips. :)
Packed and ready

Vacation was good

Monday, May 11th, 2009

Hello, remember me? You know, that guy that uses the odd handle “d3bruts1d”? The owner of the site that you are looking at right now? Still not ring a bell? Can’t say that I blame you, updates here have been few and far between over the last several months. I’m not going to make any promises, but hopefully that’ll change. :D

I’m back from a long over due vacation. The wife and I headed over to North Myrtle Beach for the first part of the month. Sand, sun, and food… lots, and lots of food. I’ll try and get some pictures posted over the next few days of everything.

Even though I’ve been to Myrtle several times now, this is the first time we ended up at Broadway at the Beach. That place has a lot of cool shops and restaurants. Two of my favorite places there included Key West Grill and the KISS Coffeehouse (better than Starbucks!). Farrah enjoyed Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville (I like Cheeseburger in Paradise better!) and It’s Sugar a wall to wall candy store. Of course we also visited the outlet mall and Barefoot Landing.

Aside from Myrtle, we also drove north to Wilmington, NC and toured the U.S.S. North Carolina Battleship. I enjoyed the self tour, and seeing everything on the ship. I’ll let Farrah describe her experiences’ on her own blog. ;) I took some photo’s with my iPhone, and I’ll upload them to Facebook or Picasa over the next few days. I think she has already posted several on her Facebook page.

I’m home now and back to work… and all I want to do is get away again already! :D

Happy Birthday

Friday, January 2nd, 2009

Happy birthday to my wife who turns twenty-something today. I’m forbidden from revealing her actual age. :D We both have to work today, so she got to unwrap her gifts yesterday, and we’ll be going to P.F. Chang’s China Bistro tomorrow for a birthday dinner. :)

In related news, our dog Oskar turns two today.

I’m Baaack!

Saturday, June 21st, 2008

Farrah and I made it home a few hours ago from our vacation in North Myrtle Beach, SC. we had a blast, at too much, and spent lots of money that we didn’t have. I’m sure one of us will be updating our MySpace pages with photos in the coming days.

Looks like all of my software on my PC is needing updated now… isn’t technology grand?

Only Two Posts In April?

Saturday, May 3rd, 2008

Wow, I have been seriously slacking. I only posted twice in the last month. Everyone must be thinking I’ve fallen off the end of the Earth or something.

Well, I am still alive. I’ve just been busy. Busy with what? Well work mainly. House work, yard work, work work, and getting back into shape work. Yes, I’ve been focusing hard on getting back into shape. I’ve been inactive for far to long, and I’ve finally gotten tired of it. In the last 4 weeks, I’ve managed to lose 9 pounds… though my goal isn’t exactly weight loss, that is a good sign that I’m doing something right. I feel better, look better, and have more energy.

I’m not alone in this either. My wife is also working on losing weight and getting back into shape. It’s a lot easier to do this when you’ve got someone helping keep you honest. ;)

Happy Birthdays

Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008

Happy birthday to my wife who turns old…. er today. Heh, she’d kill me if I told the world how old she really is. All I can say is that she is older than me! lol So make sure you wish her a happy birthday.

Also, a happy birthday to our dog, Oskar. He turns one year old today. That’s 10.5 dog years!

House Broken Into, Stuff Stolen

Tuesday, January 1st, 2008

Yesterday afternoon between about 12pm and 2pm someone broke into our house. Witnesses saw a male and female on our property with a dark (possibly red) vehicle. Looks like they entered the back yard from the driveway through the side fence,
made their way to the back porch, and then kicked in the back door.

They snatched about $2,500 worth of things, mainly games for the Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 2. They also took off with a couple of controllers, my Nintendo Wii, some DVDs, and the media trays that the games were sitting in. Thankfully they didn’t take anything else, despite the number of things in the general area that they were in.

They also didn’t harm our dog, which is pinned in the area where the back door is. I don’t know what I would have done had he been hurt.

Police believe that it was kids/teens that live in the area or were sitting close by watching the house, as they broke in when I left for the grocery store.

My Wife’s Blog

Thursday, December 27th, 2007

My wife has posted to her blog for the first time in half a year. Don’t get your hopes up though, as she’s only blogged to say that she plans on blogging. What a gal. lol
