I’m a terrible blogger. Not because most of my post are boring, but because I simply haven’t really had time to do any posting. Good thing it doesn’t need food, cause I’d have killed it already.

Here is an update on school. In an effort to get everything over with early, I had doubled up on a few classes. Last month it was C# and US History I and now I’m in VB.Net and Math. The math class and programming classes have been pretty easy, but the history class was a beast. The instructor insisted on writing a ton of essays. I hate writing about something I’m not passionate about. Thankfully, that is over for now. History II will be coming up next semester; I hope I get a different instructor.

Just a few more weeks of VB.Net and I’ll have my first degree.

Thirty

Farrah keeps harassing me to post about my birthday, but I keep forgetting to do it. It’s just one of those things that happens when you get old. :p

Yup, on July 8th I turned thirty. Not much more to say about it. lol My mother and brother came in from Nashville to visit over that weekend, and I grilled out on Saturday and ate way more food than any normal person should. It really wasn’t the ideal situation for someone that is limited to a ~2000 calorie diet while trying to loose weight.

But it was a special occasion, and I enjoyed having the family around, so it was all good. :)  Thanks for everyone who sent in birthday wishes on Twitter and Facebook!

WordPress 3.0 Installed

I’ve updated my site to WordPress 3.0. There are a few new things, most of which I’ll never use on this blog. Though I do enjoy the new theme (now default) that WordPress has included with 3.0.

I’ll be playing around with it for a bit to see how the new features can best be implemented into other projects. Really looking forward to finally creating a theme or two. Been holding off until this release was finalized.

It Has Been Six Years

June 11, 2004 a date which will live in infamy… no wait, that was something else. Six years ago, Farrah and I said our “I Do’s” and started our happy lives together. That beautiful, blushing bride is still the most beautiful woman in the world to me. I love her so much, and I’m thankful for every day I have with her.

Back To Basics

As you can see, I’m back to the default WordPress theme right now. It sucks, and that is part of why I’m using it right now. You see, I’ve been unhappy with my old theme for a while now, and I’ve been wanting to get something new posted. Hopefully this will encourage me to get that done. Of course, before I do anything to my site I have to get the new forum skin finished for OverclockersClub.com, which I am more than a little late on wrapping up.
