GAIM’s main developer, Sean Egan, has been hired by Google. He’ll be working on Google Talk, Google’s own IM/VoIP client, to help “on making it as easy as possible for other clients to use Google Talk’s voice features.”

Saturday, October 23rd, 2004For those of you who visit here (all three of you), you may have noticed I’ve added a link to a new program under “Cool Apps”. IM2 (aka Instant Messenger 2) is a fairly new, multi-protocol program similar to Trillian, GAIM, and the others.
IMHO, it’s not quite ready for the big scene, but it defiantly has potential. 
If v1.4 is 1/2 as good as it looks to be, I’ll most likely be dropping Trillian Pro. We’ll see come Nov. 1st when 1.4 is released.
