For those that never saw Google X before it was yanked off of the web, or don’t know about my mirror, you can find it here.

Yesterday we briefly saw Google X, a new version of the Google interface that mimicked the Mac OSX.

Less than 12 hours after being posted to the net, Google X was X’ed. Not only does the old URL return an error, the Google Labs page no longer has Google X listed. Did Apple throw a fit over Google X?

Oddly enough, the Google X newsgroup is still up and running as the Google Blog post. But no word is available as to why Google X was pulled.

For those that missed it, I have set up a Google X mirror that you can check out here.

It’s always interesting to see what Google will start working on next in the labs.

The newest creation is Google X, which according to the Google Blog was just “a fun late-night coding jaunt“.
