Half-Life 2 Death Match

Things just got a lot more fun, Half-Life 2: Death Match has been released to steam. Also released today is the full Half-Life 2\Source SDK, which means we should start seeing some really nice mods and maps coming out for HL2 and CS:S.

Hmm… this bring up a dilemma …. HL2:DM or WoW…. WoW or HL2:DM…. WoW… HL2:DM…. there just isn’t enough time… :p

Half-Life 2 Is Great!

Well, ended up skipping the work out today because someone wimped out. :p

It’s ok, I ended up spending much of the evening playing HL2. From what I’ve seen thus far, Valve did a great job on the game. I’ve still got a way to go (I’m in Raven Home right now) but so far things have been extremely nice.

I do have some problems with the game stuttering and skipping, mainly due to my video card, which is an XFX nVidia GeForce 4 4400. Hopefully, I’ll be getting a new card in the near future. :)

Half-Life 2 Is Here

Half-Life 2 is finally here. Since I had to work today, I wasn’t able to stay up till 3:00 AM EST like some people to play HL2.

That’s ok. I’ll get to play it later… though looks like it’ll be tomorrow before I get a chance. :/ Work till 3:00, haircut at 4:00, gym (see yesterday’s post) till 6:30-7:00, then dinner. By the time I’m finished with everything, I’ll probably just want to go to bed. Oh well, you all suck (you know who you are). :p

And to top it off, I’ve got several reviews for OCC that I need to finish. Matt is going to kill me if I don’t get some work done. :/

Anyway, check out the Half-Life 2 OverclockersClub.com logo I did. It’s also being displayed @ OCC for today. ;) There are also a number of OCC-HL2 wallpapers that have been created by members, all that is here.

Software Stuff

You probably noticed in the news above, but…..

Trillian is finally making some headway on Trillian 3.0. It’s taken long enough. Trillian members can log in to the member’s area of Trillian’s website and download Trillian 3.0 Public Alpha. It’s worlds better than Trillian 2.0, even if it is an alpha version. Though with IM2 offering (AFAIK) everything that Trillian has, with no cost, I don’t see any reason to switch from IM2. ;)

In other news, Valve has put a new chunk of Half-Life 2 on steam for preloading. This is the 7th phase, and god knows how much more we have to go. Also, part of the Source SDK was put on steam as well. We should have more after HL2 is released.
