Welcome to d3bruts1d.com. I am Bryan otherwise known as “d3bruts1d” in the land of cyberspace. Here you will find my rantings and ramblings about things of interest to me; computers, technology, science, video games, movies, music, television, and everything in between. Welcome to my world.
I wanted to take a moment to wish everyone a wonderful Independence Day. As you celebrate this July 4th, take time to think about the men and women serving our country oversees so that others can enjoy the same freedoms we often take for granted.
I’m sure many people will spend today with alcohol and fireworks. While both things can be a lot of fun, they don’t mix well together. Have fun, stay safe, and God bless!

Finally home from the last Christmas stop. Knoxville, Arkansas, Nashville and finally back home in Knoxville. It was fun, but I’m ready to rest now. If it’s ok with everyone, I think I’ll not be traveling for a while. :p

It’s just about time for me to head off to see family. I probably won’t be online much, if at all, until after Christmas. So, I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas. Be careful on the roads for those of you traveling this season.

Well, we now have two of our Christmas’ out of the way. The wife and I opened our gifts tonight. Usually, I’d make her wait till a little closer to Christmas… and by a little closer to, I mean after. :p Now we just have Christmas at my grandfather’s house (mom, step-dad, brother, aunt, uncle, grandfather, and cousins), though that isn’t really for me as much as it is for him. Of course, getting to go and see him is more than enough for me. He’s the best! After Christmas there, then I get to have it with my mom (and brother, step-brother, and step-dad). But I’m still not done after that, sometime in the new year (probably July, lol) I’ll go see my dad and step-mom and have Christmas there.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and not just because we got a little bit of snow yesterday. Actually, what snow we did get yesterday didn’t amount to anything, but it was nice to see the little flakes. Nope, it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here because yesterday we started our whole Christmas holiday with the in-laws.
Yup, we went over there, and opened gifts. The wife and I pretty well already knew what we were getting from her parents, even though this is the first year that she hasn’t been able to peek. lol Like most people with a new house, we got house stuff. Towels, sheets, pillows for the couch, curtains, a new front door, tile for the entry way, and even hard wood flooring for the living room and hallway. I must say, I’m more excited about the last three items than anything else.
Now, come the new year I get to move all of our furniture out of the living room so the hired hand can come in and lay the new floor. I’m not so excited about that, especially since our (my!) old 36″ TV weighs a good 500 lbs. Oh well, at least I’ll have a new floor instead of this nasty carpet that was left by the previous owners.
Now it’s time to go surprise the wife and let her open her gifts from me. She thinks I’m going to make her wait until after Christmas. Tehehehe.

It’s Sunday and it is snowing outside. It isn’t a heavy snow, and it looks more like a wet snow or at least a rainy mix. Now, usually I wouldn’t think much about it, after all most people expect to see snow around Christmas. It’s just so odd to see it right now, especially since on Tuesday I was outside wearing shorts and mowing the yard.
Maybe there is a chance that we’ll have snow for the holidays. I cannot remember the last “White Christmas” we had here in Knoxville.

Apple has a new “Mac vs. PC” commercial posted online, this one just in time for Christmas. It’s pretty bad. Ok, it’s really bad. But hey, at least it has Santa.
I wish I was getting a Mac for Christmas. *hint hint*
