Here’s a hot rumor. According to Reuters, shares for Logitech rose by 12% today on the rumor that Microsoft is looking to buy the company. The rumored $6 billion takeover deal would be Microsoft’s largest acquisition.
Though to the relief of gamers everywhere, Logitech board member (and largest shareholder) Daniel Borel said he had no reason to sell his 6% stake in the company. If the deal did go through, it would make the worlds largest software company the largest mouse maker.
I really cannot see Microsoft doing this. Sure, it’d be a great deal for them, but I think antitrust lawyers everywhere would have a fit with the idea. Besides, Microsoft has been partnering with Razer for several PC peripheral. It’d probably be far cheaper to by Razer. Granted, Razer doesn’t have the number of gizmos that Logitech has.

I’ve always been a huge fan of the Razer mice. From the boomslang to the Copperhead, I think they’ve always created some amazing products. I’ll give credit to Logitech as well, they’ve made some amazing products over the years.
Anyway, I thought I’d share a review done by TechSpot which compared the Logitech G5 and Razer Copperhead mice. In the end, the Razer slashed the competition.

My wife is going to kill me for saying this, but Logitech has some new stuff out that I’m drooling over….
First up is the new Logitech G15 Keyboard. I just recently (few months ago) picked up the Siatek Gaming Keyboard, which is nice…. but the programmable keys and LCD on the Logitch is just so damn attractive.
Then there is the new Logitech G5 Laser Mouse. One of the things I find most attractive about it is the ability to adjust the mouse’s weight, of course the extremely high DPI is pretty attractive as well. Anything would be better than this POS Logitech MX1000 that I have right now.
The only thing, besides my wife, that would stop me from getting the new Logitech stuff would be if Razer came out with some new kick ass stuff.

Two new reviews have been posted over at OCC. I’m not sure who the guy is that did the review on the Cooler Master Centurion Case, so don’t ask me. In addition to that, LinuXProX has done a review on the Logitech MX518 Mouse.
Looks like Matt is picking back up the reviews. About damn time. Just don’t expect any from me.
