I’ve already posted this over at TechRelated.com and OverclockersClub.com, so most of you have probably already seen this bit of “news”. :P

Opera 9.0 has officially been released. More speed, more power, BitTorrent, widgets, and a lot of other improvements. What’s not to love about Opera? ;)

Yesterday, the Opera Desktop Team released a new mid(-ish) weekly build for the upcoming Opera 9.0. The new build has a very small change log, as the team was trying to get one last build out before the Easter holiday.

We should be seeing the first beta build of Opera 9.0 shortly after Easter.

There were two (well, technically three) new releases of the Opera Web Browser last week.

For those using the 8.5x version, it has been updated to 8.54. This update addresses a vulnerability in Macromedia Adobe Flash as well as a couple of bugs. You can grab 8.54 here.

The other two releases deal with pre-beta Opera 9.0. The Opera Desktop Team released two versions last week. A mid-weekly build came on Wednesday, and the normal weekly build came in on Friday.

Hopefully we’ll be getting a Beta RC this week or next.
