Will Opera Come To The iPhone?

We already know that there is an iPhone SDK in the works, and Apple plans to have it available for developers next month. And there is a pretty good chance that we’ll see something about it this week, if not today during Steve Job’s MacWorld 2008 keynote.

My question is, once the SDK is available will we see an Opera browser on the iPhone? I’ve not had any problems surfing with my iPhone, aside from the occasional “safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding” error message. The Apple iPhone is a hot item right now, and if you read anything about it you’ll probably notice that and people generally fall into two categories. They either love it, or they hate it. It’s certainly not without its faults, but for the most part I have been extremely pleased with mine.

Opera Basks in Mini Browser Market Push

eWeek has done a two page article on the Opera Web Browser. As you might guess from the title of the article, Opera Basks in Mini Browser Market Push, is mainly talking about the Opera Mobile and Opera Mini products.

Opera has worked a two-year deal with German companies T-Mobile and Debitel to have it’s mobile products pre-installed on all of their mobile devices. The companies will also help to promote Opera’s web application development platform to business customers. News of this helped raise Opera’s stock 20% on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
