Looks like the UMD disk used in Sony’s PSP has been cracked according to this Slashdot blurb and this C|Net News article.
Probably won’t be long now until we can download PSP games and play them off of a memory stick (or USB disk).

Oh, thought I would post and say I am now a proud owner of a Sony Play Station Portable (PSP)! And I must say, that thing kicks all kinds of ass.
Games and movies look absolutely amazing on it. Spider Man 2 is so beautiful on the PSP’s screen.
Thought I do have about a dozen “bright” pixels on my screen. From what I’ve read in various PSP forums, Sony will replace your PSP if there is a problem like this, however they ask you to wait a week and see if they fix themselves. Some people have stated that they do go away, so things might be ok. We’ll see in a week.
I’m also having problems with the WiFi connector on my PSP. Though looks like I’ll need to temporarily disable WEP on my router to fix this problem. Would have taken a shot at it last night, but the wife was playing WoW at the time. Didn’t want to kick her off of that, it would have been a fait worse than death! :p
Start of a new week, which also means time for a new poll at OCC. Since there are a number of PSP related topics in the console gaming forum, I thought I’d find out who really has a PSP, or at least has plans on getting one.
“Do You Have A Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP)?” is this weeks poll.
I plan on picking one up this week if everything goes well.
