The End of an Era

Well, it looks as if my time as the primary news poster for OverclockersClub.com may have come to an end. Recently, they have implemented a new web content filter at work that blocks out a lot of things, including the OCC Email system that I used to view submitted news items. Since I cannot post the daily news during the early AM anymore, I’ve told Matt that he might want to try and find someone else to help update this.

I’ll stick around and post news for other items, such as Opera and IM2 release information, gaming news and other items I come across during the day. Though Matt hasn’t said much about it, I’m sure he’d be happy to have someone around to help post news. If you’d be interested in posting news @ OCC, I’d suggest contacting Matt and letting him know.

Don’t worry.. the forums for some reason aren’t blocked by the new filter, so I’ll still be there day and night to kick people around. :p Yes, this means you.

On a related note, they’ve also blocked access to Blogger.com, which means I wont be able to blog until after work. Hmm… probably should be working during that time anyway, eh? :p

Playing with PHP

Well, I’m finally getting some room to play with things at work now that Joe (my old boss) is out of the picture. An old “Hazard Screening Form” that I had originally created is in need of some work. I’ve managed to talk my new boss into letting me give it a try in PHP. First thing is to figure out how to get PHP installed on Oracle’s Apache Server… something they don’t support. :/

Work sucks….

Sometimes work sucks. Sometimes I’m an idiot. Put them together and it really sucks. FUBARed my time sheet, so my last check before the wedding is FUBAR. My fault though so I can’t blame anyone. Hopefully it’ll get fixed… **edit** Thankfully, they’ve fixed my check. Work doesn’t always suck. ;)

No, this wasn’t an error with my job at OCC. This is with an actually company that I work for full time. A real day job. OCC takes up all other hours of my life. ;) Besides, aside from the products that I review (which usually are given away in contest), I don’t get anything from OCC. It’s a fun job, but not what everyone thinks it is.
